Singularity Revision

Setting Revision: For the most part, Sherlock is set in London 2012. There are a few differences, for example the British police employee a consulting detective, one Sherlock Holmes. If you've never heard of that profession, it would be because Sherlock is the only consulting detective. He created the position. He also consults on private cases, a bit like a private eye but with more involvement. There are also criminal masterminds, or at least there is one: the flipside to Sherlock. James Moriarity is Sherlock's nemisis and we see him mentioned in the very first episode and mentions of/appearances by him show up throughout the two seasons with him being a major player in both finales.

While the British government is the same entity that it is in real life, there is a major difference. Sherlock's brother, Mycroft puppeteers things, controlling things as he sees fit. He doesn't have total control but he is capable of swaying things his way.

Characters such as a famous dominatrix (Irene Adler) exist in Sherlock's London. She holds the secrets of many high ranking officials and important people. She also works with Moriarity. In Sherlock's London, because of John's blog and Sherlock's reputation, Sherlock is something of a celebrity. He's in the papers and he often has to cope with the press and paparazzi.

CRAU: Sweven was a present time sort of panfandom jamjar set in an Alternate Universe Montanta where Sweven, Montana was a thriving meteropolian city, home of a mega technology corporation called Nilisom (think Apple). Characters have been transported into another dimension and no one knows how to get them home. They receive a welcome packet, two weeks stay in a hotel and a tattoo. While in Sweven they experience shared dreaming and in the dreaming, they've all got some sort of power. John's was the ability to heal others.

Sweven changed John by opening his eyes to things that would otherwise be impossible like alternate dimensions, super heroes, super powers and shared dreaming. He had to cope with the idea of being unable to return home and discovered he was reasonably okay with this because Sherlock was there with him. He dealt with knowing Sherlock faked his death and moved passed a good deal of anger that came with finding that out. He also came to terms with the idea that Sherlock cared enough about him to give up everything in order to protect him.
